As at 2007, Simmons worked for the Te Mahoe Unit Abortion Business.[1]
Abortion Supervisory Committee
As at November, 2006 and May 2008, Simmons worked as a midwifery adviser for the Quality Committee of the Abortion Supervisory Committee.[2]
ALRANZ
As at March 2009, Ann Simmons served on the National Executive for the Abortion Law Reform Association of New Zealand.[3]
As at 30 June 2011, Ann Simmons had "liked" the page for the Abortion Law Reform Association of New Zealand on Facebook.[4]
NZ Nurses Organisation
As at December 2009, Simmons served as chairperson for the NZNO Women's Health Section of the NZ Nurses Organisation.[5]
Participated in Istar-Funded Research
Circa 2005, Dr. Sally Rose (UOW), abortionists Carol Shand and Margaret Sparrow, and abortion-business worker, Ann Simmons were members of the research team for a study entitled "Audit of medical termination of pregnancy data" which was funded by Istar and facilitated by the Womens Health Research Centre (UOW) at University of Otago, Wellington.[6] Istar is the company that imports the abortion drug, RU486 into New Zealand. Both Shand and Sparrow are officers of the company.
