Socialist Action League
In 1972 McCluggage worked as the Business Manager for the Socialist Action League's newsletter, Socialist Action.[1]
Activism
On 7 May 1973, McCluggage was one of twenty-five pro-abortion protestors picketing outside a Labour Party conference in Wellington.[2]
In July 1976, McCluggage was present at a 500-strong women's rights demonstration at the opening of Parliament.[3]
On September 27, 1973 she addressed a TP-organised forum on the future of NZ protest movement at the Wellington Library lecture Hall[4]
On March 15, 1974, she wrote an article for Socialist Action on Young Socialists at the University of Auckland holding a forum on International Women's Day on 8 March that year.
WONAAC
In 1973 McCluggage was the Coordinator for the Wellington branch of the radical pro-abortion group, the Woman's National Abortion Action Campaign.[5]
"Abortion as a woman’s choice"
In 1975 the Abortion Law Reform Association of New Zealand and the Woman's National Abortion Action Campaign jointly convened the workshop entitled ‘Abortion as a woman’s choice’ with Jan Clark and Jacqueline McCluggage as co-convenors.[6]
