Jim Hefford

Dr. Jim Hefford is a retired GP and a former Certifying Consultant.[1] He is the husband of Cheryl Hefford.[2]
Personal Life
He has spent a year in Saudi Arabia and has written about abortion in the Middle East.
ALRANZ
Hefford is a member of the Abortion Law Reform Association of New Zealand who has served on the National Executive for the organization.[1] He contributes to ALRANZ's new "Issues" website.[3]
Hefford was a founding member of ALRANZ in Palmerston North before joining the national committee when he retired from general practice to live in Wellington. He helped with some of the interviews for Margaret Sparrow’s book “Abortion Then and Now” and also contributed an account of his experiences as a referring doctor and certifying consultant.[2]
