June G. Barrett

Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice

June G. Barrett, a Unitarian Universalist, first committed to furthering reproductive choice by acting as a clinic escort. In July 1994, June was injured by an assassin who murdered the doctor as he was entering the clinic.[1] June passed away on January 4, 2011 at 85 years of age.[2] A member of the RCRC Board of Directors, June advocated reproductive choice alongside her husband, Jim Barrett. RCRC began the Jim Barrett Memorial Society to honor those who support the Coalition in their will, trust, or other planned gift.[3]
