Leadership at Personal PAC and Other Organizations
Although a life-long Republican, Marcena W. Love supports pro-abortion politicians is the Founder and Chair Emeritus of Personal PAC, a pro-choice PAC in Illinois founded in 1978 while in her kitchen. She retired in 2007. Love also joined the board of Chicago Area Planned Parenthood Association in 1966, co-founded NARAL of Illinois and the Religious Coalition for Abortion Rights. She has also been honored by NARAL of Illinois, Chicago Women in Philanthropy, Chicago Sun-Times Ten Most Powerful Women in Politics, and The ACLU of Illinois. [2]
National Women's Hall of Fame
Marcena W. Love was honored by her three daughters in 1997 in the National Women's Hall of Fame "Book of Lives & Legacies." [3]
Fundrace
The Huffington Post's "Fundrace" shows that Marcena W. Love has made many considerable donations to pro-choice politicians (many of them Democrats despite Love claiming to be a life-long Republican) and to Emily's List. [4]
The Abortion Provider's Declaration of Rights
Marcena Love signed The Abortion Provider's Declaration of Rights, a declaration of the rights of abortion providers.[5][6]
