In June, 1976, Bartle joined the Socialist Action League and was active in the Woman's National Abortion Action Campaign.[1]
Activism
On 25 June, 1976, Bartle co-wrote a report for the Socialist Action Newsletter on "Radical Feminist Caucus", Queens Birthday weekend, Auckland - 80 attended. In April 1972 she attended the National Women's Liberation Conference in Wellington. In November 1975, Bartle was an organiser of the first Radical Feminist Caucus held in Wainuiomata. On 23 June 1976, she was a co-ordinator of an Abortion action rally which marched on Parliament.[1]
