Pauline Barnett
Pauline Barnett is an Associate Professor of Public Health at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Otago, Christchurch.[1] She is originally from the UK and has worked in the health sector in New Zealand for 25 years.[2]
WONAAC
In the 1970s, Barnett was an activist with the radical pro-abortion group, the Woman's National Abortion Action Campaign.
Socialist Action League
On 25 June 1977, Barnett spoke at a Socialist Seminar organised by the Socialist Action League and the Christchurch branch of Young Socialists, on "attacks on women's rights and how to fight back". The event was held at the Hotel Workers Union building, 127 Lichfield St, Christchurch.
Public Health Association
In 1990 Barnett was a member of the Canterbury branch of the Public Health Association of New Zealand.[3] In 1994 she was a spokesperson for the association.[4] Circa 2002 she worked as a researcher of Public Health and General Practice at the Christchurch School of Medicine.
