Planned Parenthood Northern Michigan
Planned Parenthood Northern Michigan was an affiliate of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. On Sept. 30, 2007, Planned Parenthood Northern Michigan and Planned Parenthood Centers of West Michigan merged to form Planned Parenthood of West and Northern Michigan (PPWNM).[1]

Planned Parenthood Express
On August 23, 2001, Planned Parenthood Northern Michigan opened the Planned Parenthood Express health center. The center was located at 315 Shelden Avenue, Houghton. The center accepted walk-in hours as well as appointments. The center provided a range of reproductive health services including education and counseling; birth control supplies including pills; injectable contraceptives such as Depo Provera and Lunelle; condoms; pregnancy testing and options counseling; Emergency Contraception; and testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections.[5]
Tribute Gifts
In May 2004, Planned Parenthood Northern Michigan raised $10,000 in tribute gifts in honor of long-time staff members Scott Blanchard and Alice Clayton. The funds were matched by a $10,000 challenge grant issued by The Frey Foundation and the total amount was placed in PPNM’s Endowment Fund.[3]
